When US dollar goes stronger (higher) it makes US goods more expensive to the rest of the world and become harder to sell.

So, it makes the rest of the world have the lower barrier to export goods to us. That is why Donald Trump is so unhappy about China; keeps complaining China devalue its currency. Of course when US dollar get stronger, you need more China yen to buy them.

Let’s have a look at the China Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite.
