For years, the market has referenced The Economist’s Big Mac Index. Now, there is a new reference, iphone Index. Nomura Holdings Inc. suggest iPhone index. Nomula suggests the dollar is the most undervalued currency among 23 global peers, based on the cost of the Apple Inc. product in different countries.
The argument is the iPhone is high tech, and that’s going to be the bigger driver in the future. But, we have to remember, high tech comes and goes. Tomorrow, the leading product or products may no longer be iPhone. Then what’s next. Food, is something going to stay. Of course, there is no right no wrong. It is perfectly fine for iPhone Index.
