It is good to look at the chart from different perspective. From the chart you can see the market begin to struggle since May 2015. After it fail to go higher, the bear just to strong for any bull. Of course no bull will give up, July was a big struggle. But bull fail big times this round, it brought everything lower this time to the start of September.
Now the index is drawn near the River, if it fail to cross the River. It is quite easy to understand the index will need more time before it will reverse.
River in fact is an average of the index, you can see the River has formed a mountain nicely.

Look Back
If you will look back, 2015 started somewhere in the middle of 2014 rang. The market has a nice swing high with a good support from the River. It was riding too hard that look like may topper over. Thereafter the index just zoom down, like on a roller coaster. It is yet to get out of the low. Use River as a visual guide, it is near straight down. … Let’s wait for it to till the bottom first before it will bounce back up.
