^GSPC S&P 500 Monthly Chart Analysis

Lehman Brothers on September 15, 2008  the largest bankruptcy filing in U.S. history, with Lehman holding over $600 billion in assets.

DJI shows start from October 9, 2007 the market begin the bear trend, it lasted seventeen months till March 9, 2009. DJI went as low as below 7000 points. If you will look at the following chart, ^GSPC monthly chart, without check the y-axis you may not know you are studying the S&P 500 index. The bull fight back in March 2009, the market turn bull. Bull lead the market till now.

S&P 500 struggle to breakout higher in the 2,100 level and DJI was 18,000 level. Finally the resistance turn support, S&P 500 got supported. S&P 500 went as low as 700 points. Picture worth a thousand words, see chart for more.
