This week life in Singapore starts to return to normal.
On March 29 Sunday, 100,000 Singaporeans lined the 15.4 km streets in the pouring rain to beat the final farewell to Singapore first Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew when the cortege passed them.
Last week March 23 to March 29, Singapore flag was at half-mast and the nation was on a seven-day mourning period to mark the dead of Mr Lee Kuan Yew, the first Prime Minister of Singapore. More than 1.2 million people visited tribute sites around the country to pay the last tribute to him. More than 450,000 queued, some up to eleven hours, on an average of four to five hours to pay their last respect to him in Parliament House.
At 3:18 am Monday, March 23, 2015 Mr Lee Kuan Yew died at the age of 91.
Twenty Three (23) countries leaders attended the state funeral of Mr Lee Kuan Yew. Among them they included Malaysia’ King, the Sultan of Brunei, Indonesian President, Australia Prime Minster, Indian Prime Minister, Japanese Prime Minister, Former US President Bill Clinton, Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
